
Inclusive Health Systems: Innovations towards Health Equity in Africa
Africa faces many barriers to creating inclusive health systems, which have been exacerbated by global climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The idea of social entrepreneurship has struck a responsive cord as it is a phrase well suited to our time. Around the world, we see the need for entrepreneurial appraoches to entrenched social challenges and in Bern, this is no exception. Hoping to avoid recplicating or duplicating activities already under way, Shapers aim to connect the dots and existing players in new ways to strengthen mission-driven innovation ecosystems in the city, and ultimately enourage young entreprenuers to develop needed social enterprises. Activities will include targeted workshops and trainings, as well as an accelerator programme to help scale impactful start-ups in the region.
