Homelessness in Berlin

Homeless people have become a usual part of the cityscape in Berlin. Until now, there have been no statistics on the number of homeless people in the city, nor proper assessments of the causes. Many institutions lack the connection to other organizations working in the same field, which would help combine skills, knowledge, and resources. For instance, third-party stakeholders like public transport services and the police have never been put in touch. The Berlin Hub is looking to change that by seeking direct contact with the different organizations involved, advise them on issues where outside expertise or manpower is needed, and connect them to potential partners. The goal of the project is to make homelessness support more efficient by creating a network of experts and to motivate the political sphere to act on the issue.
