After founding Taqa Solutions, a Cleantech startup that provided waste to electricity solutions in rural Egypt, Yostina is now VP of product at a leading AI startup. She realized the need for innovative solutions to accelerate change from the local experience she was exposed to. Yostina leads Global tech teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists to build products using wearable data to produce a health risk assessment. She believes that through her deep empathy for solving global challenges and talent in using technology for good, she empowers individuals to navigate and filter new innovations to their most suited needs. She creates values by consistently succeeding and failing in launching new technology products, such as blockchain, AI and IoT, to disrupt the legacy systems and develop sustainable change. As a 4IR expert, Yostina led a project in collaboration with the electricity team at WEF using Blockchain to redefine Energy Flexibility. Yostina is an African Obama Leader, she connects to her peers across the continent to cross-learn organization transformation lessons from her practical experience. As a global shaper from the MENA region, Yostina champions sharing hard-earned journeys for women of color in tech through mentoring and learning from her fellow global shapers. Hence, changing the narrative by sharing achievements and also shortcomings to make our stories relatable and actionable.
