Yazeed Alnafjan has been appointed Deputy Governor, Financial Innovation at the Saudi Central Bank. In this role, he leads efforts in financial sector development and regulatory progress, overseeing teams dedicated to market development, innovation, digital currency, virtual assets, and open banking. He also spearheads the implementation of the Fintech Strategy, contributing to the objectives of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030. Previously, as Director General of Banking Control, he focused on ensuring the stability and resilience of the Saudi banking sector. Yazeed is also active in various local and international committees, including the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.
