Wendy is Vice President at X, Alphabet’s Moonshot Factory. X is a diverse group of inventors and entrepreneurs who build and launch technologies and companies that aim to improve the lives of billions of people. Its goal to 10x impact on the world’s most intractable problems.
She was a Partner for tech venture at BGF. BGF is a £2.5bn growth capital fund with the mission to support UK businesses with patient capital.
She was a General Partner at Entrepreneur First, the world’s leading talent investor. So far, EF has helped 1,000+ people create 200+ deep tech companies, worth a combined $1.5bn including Magic Pony Technology, Tractable, CleoAI, OpenCosmos, Khieron, Brolly and CloudNC.
Wendy was co-founder and CEO of Moonfruit, the first SAAS website builder. Moonfruit was acquired in 2012 by Hibu plc (formerly Yell Group) to support its transformation to a global digital services provider.
She supported the launch of Zopa.com - first European P2P lending site and Egg.com - the UK's first internet bank.

Wendy was awarded an MBE for services to technology and business by the Queen in 2016. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Salford University where she was born. Woman in IT - Business Role Model of the Year 2017, Inspiring Fifty EU 2015 and 2017, Female Technology Entrepreneur of the Year 2011.
She has a BEng, Computer Science from Imperial College, London and an MA, Future Textile Design from Central St Martins, University Arts London. Wendy lives in California with her husband and co-founder Joe, their son and daughter.
