Waleed serves as Mubadala’s Deputy Group CEO and has strategic oversight of the company’s broad investment portfolio and special projects. He is a member of Mubadala’s Investment Committee, which is mandated to develop policies, establish guidelines, and review proposed projects and investments to ensure they align with the organization’s business objectives.

Waleed is also the Chairman of Mubadala’s Investment & Business Planning Committee, which approves transactions within a certain financial threshold and is responsible for annual and multi-year business planning. Furthermore, Waleed oversees Mubadala’s Real Assets and Credit & Special Situations platforms. Waleed holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
