Vishal is the leader of HPE’s newly created GreenLake Cloud Services Solutions group. In this role he reports to the CEO and his remit is to enable a wide range of cloud services on HPE’s unified GreenLake Cloud Platform. His organization includes all software and hardware teams at HPE focused on enabling these cloud services, including HPE Ezmeral, HPE Lighthouse, GreenLake Central and workload solutions. Vishal also serves as a Director of the Board of New H3C, HPE’s joint venture in China.

Prior to his current role, Vishal was the Chief Operating Officer at Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company. In this role, Vishal was responsible for end-to-end execution and helped build the necessary capabilities across all functions to drive revenue growth. His efforts resulted in successfully turning around the business from year-over-year revenue declines to sustained double-digit growth. At Aruba, he led various functions across the organization including supply chain, sales strategy & operations, pricing, IT, business operations, enterprise analytics, M&A integration, business development and strategic partnerships.

Previously Vishal was HPE’s Chief Strategy Officer and member of the company’s Executive Committee. In this role he reported directly to HPE’s CEO and worked closely with the Board and CEO on various strategy topics including M&A. He also led the company’s efforts on strategic partnerships. In addition, he was responsible for Pathfinder, HPE’s venture capital vehicle that makes venture investments in emerging, next-gen companies.

Vishal held various leadership roles at HP and HPE, including Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Head of Strategy for the Software BU. Prior to joining HP, Vishal was President and CEO of Eventus, a software and services company providing solutions to the health care industry. Previously, Vishal was a Principal at Booz Allen Hamilton (Booz & Co.).

Vishal holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He resides in San Francisco and his office location is at the HPE headquarters in San Jose, California.
