Senior Lecturer, University of Mauritius; specialises in applied biochemistry and pharmacognosy, including basic research and clinical trials to determine health-promoting and disease management potential of traditional herbal, endemic medicinal and food plants against several non-communicable diseases; particularly interested in assisting the development of national policies and programmes for the regulation of herbal medicine and functional food in Mauritius.
