Thabang joined ARM in August 2023 as the Executive for Investor Relations and New Business Development. Prior to joining ARM, Thabang was a number 1 Financial Mail rated commodities and mining analyst. She worked for SBG Securities from November 2014 to July 2023. She transitioned from the buy-side to the sell-side by starting out as a junior commodities strategist for two years. She then started covering the South African diversified miners collectively known as industrial metals companies. Before joining SBG Securities, Thabang spent three years as an assistant portfolio manager at the Public Investment Corporation. Before that, she worked as an intern in Daimler’s pricing and controlling department at the head office in Stuttgart, Germany. Thabang completed her Business Science and Master of Commerce degrees at the University of Cape Town, majoring in Economics and she completed her CFA in 2015.
