H.E. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, born in Dubai in 1973, has served as Minister of Energy since 2013. The Ministry expanded in 2017 when it merged with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development. Al Mazrouei is Chairman of the Boards of Etihad Water and Electricity, Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Mubadala Investment Company, Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, Nawah Energy Company, Barakah One Company, and Dolphin Energy. He has experience in corporate administration in shipbuilding, defense systems, oil and gas services, and real estate development. Al Mazrouei graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1996 with a petroleum engineering degree.
