As the Expert for Climate Action, Innovation and Participation at the City of Vienna, Sarah co-initiated and co-developed the Participatory Climate Budget for Vienna. She was the Program Lead of "Deep Demonstrations Vienna" and supported the municipality to reach net zero through systemic change. Here her focus were the fields of energy, mobility, retrofit and urban infrastructure, while considering key enablers like green, blended finance models and citizen participation methods. Sarah's aim was to trigger governance innovations and new ways of working collaboratively and across silos within the City of Vienna.

During her two years as the Community and Venture Manager at Impact Hub Vienna, Sarah provided 550+ changemakers with the resources they needed to create business solutions and technologies to solve society’s most complex challenges.

Sarah also co-founded the [sic!] - students' innovation centre, Vienna’s first student-driven idea hub for ecological & social projects, initiatives and businesses. Here, her’s mission was to empower students to fullfill their potential and to gain the courage and skills to implement ideas for a sustainable future.

She holds a Master's degree with honors in Urban Management and Development from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. There she nurtured her passion for just, sustainable cities and focused her research on climate change adaptation in resettled communities and slum areas in India.
