Roksana Ciurysek-Gedir

Roksana Ciurysek-Gedir is an entrepreneur and systems architect working to redefine wellbeing as essential infrastructure for the twenty-first century. Her work brings together science, technology, behavioural psychology, finance, creativity and design to create the conditions for human flourishing.

As a Board Member of Therme Group, she leads Therme Future, an initiative pioneering the next generation of wellbeing infrastructure. Building on Therme Group’s global platform, Therme Future explores how artificial intelligence, preventive health, behavioural science, nature and immersive design can transform the places where people live, work and connect. Its ambition is to establish wellbeing infrastructure as a new global category—embedding health into everyday life rather than treating it only after it is lost.

She is also the founder of Possible X, a platform exploring one fundamental question:

What does it mean for humans to flourish in the age of AI?

Possible X serves as her unifying platform for bringing together scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, artists and policymakers to catalyse ideas, partnerships and ventures that help ensure technological progress advances human potential.

Before focusing on the future of human flourishing, Roksana spent more than two decades in global finance, holding senior leadership positions at JPMorgan, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Edmond de Rothschild and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. She later served as Deputy CEO and Vice Chair of the Management Board of Bank Pekao, one of Central Europe’s largest financial institutions, and previously as President of Pekao International.

Alongside her work in innovation, she is an internationally exhibited artist whose practice explores regeneration, stewardship and the relationship between humanity, technology and nature. During COP26, she launched the Impact Art movement in collaboration with Singularity University, presenting Aurea—a sculpture created from recycled stainless steel—as a reflection on regeneration, responsibility and the future we choose to build. She believes creativity is how science becomes human.

Roksana is also Executive Producer of Oliver Stone’s Nuclear Now and producer of Battle for Britain, reflecting her belief that storytelling is one of the most powerful forces for shaping society.

A World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, she has spoken internationally on leadership, innovation and the future of human flourishing, including at Stanford University, the Milken Institute, the CFA Institute and the World Economic Forum. She serves on international boards and advises organisations across technology, health, artificial intelligence and impact investing.

Roksana is a YPO member, CFA Charterholder, and holds degrees in engineering, management and economics.

She believes the defining challenge of this century is not simply extending human lifespan, but creating the conditions in which more people can flourish.
