A Certified Risk Management Practitioner (IRMSA), Qiniso holds a BCom degree (Economics) and is also an alumni of Duke University having successfully graduated from their Executive Development Programme.

She joined the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in March 2020 in the role of Senior Enterprise Manager and in 2022, assumed the role of Group Chief Risk Officer which she occupies to date.

Prior to joining the JSE, Qiniso held numerous roles in risk management, the last of which was Chief Risk Officer for a provincial development finance institution. Other roles in both the public and private sector ranged from operations management to strategy, governance, risk and compliance functions.

Qiniso serves on the Board of the Institute of Risk Management South Africa and serves in a number of its committees. She is the immediate past Chairperson of the Risk Intelligence Committee whose key deliverable is the production of the Annual South Africa Risk Report. She is a speaker and mentor who volunteers her time serving in various industry bodies and using her talents in her church community.
