Prince Koree Osei

Lead Scientist and Director, Quantum Leap Africa

Dr. Prince Koree Osei is the Centre President of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Ghana. He is also the Lead Scientist and Director for Quantum Leap Africa (QLA) in Kigali, Rwanda. Previously, he was a Fields-Perimeter and Perimeter Institute Postdoctoral research fellow and the Academic Manager for AIMS Ghana.

As a lecturer and researcher, Prince has taught over 20 courses across all levels in the university and published papers in prestigious academic journals in different fields of Quantum, like, Quantum Algebra, Quantum Geometry, Quantum Groups, Quantum Information, Quantum Gravity, and Quantum Machine Learning. He uses his passion for the advancement of Quantum in Africa to develop partnerships and collaborations with international experts in this field. With his extensive experience in multiple fields of life, he is trusted to sit on academic boards, with the task of overseeing academic quality assurance and aiding in the creation of masters and Ph.D. programs, as well as global councils for the future of quantum.

As a well-accomplished leader with vast experience in leading Pan-African academic tertiary institutions and business development projects for different industrial sectors, Prince has a proven track record of building organizations from the ground up, especially those developing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in the African space. He has designed and implemented programs through which 600+ intelligent African youths have been exposed to current and future technology at an advanced level. This has become an excellent model for preparing young Africans for the fourth industrial revolution and future quantum technology. Prince has also created innovative models to train and stimulate high school girls to pursue careers in STEM to the highest level and to train high school mathematics teachers across Africa at the masters level.
