Pato Kelesitse is a sustainable development practitioner with a strong focus on climate justice, gender equity, and youth development. She is the Founder of Sustain267, a Botswana-based social enterprise advancing climate action and sustainability across Africa. She has nearly a decade of experience working with civil society, governments, and the private sector. As an ESG advisor, she specialises in aligning Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles with community-centred development strategies. Pato has represented Botswana as an official party delegate to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and is a Masters of Arts in Development Studies candidate at the University of Botswana. She has led multiple grassroots, national and regional initiatives that translate climate policy into tangible local action. Projects she has led include the Local Conference of Youth on Climate Change, #CleanUpBW, and hosting the Sustain267 Podcast, which amplifies African voices in climate discourse.
Kelesitse was named one of the "40 under 40 African Leaders for Climate Resilience" by Wilton Park in 2019 and she serves co-chairperson of the Climate Justice Resilience Fund Board (USA). She was recently appointed to the Botswana National Youth Council board by the Minister of Youth and Gender Affairs, to act as her advisor on youth programming in the country.
