Noura Berrouba

Global Shaper, Stockholm Hub

Noura Berrouba is the Chief of Staff at the Daniel Sachs Foundation, where she leads efforts to reimagine, strengthen and revitalize democracy. A seasoned leader in the Swedish and international civil society landscape, she has extensive experience in youth representation, democratic engagement, and policy advocacy. Previously, she served as President of the National Council of Swedish Children and Youth Organisations (LSU), representing over 80 organizations and 650,000 young people. She also served for four years as a member of the Governing Body of the European Youth Parliament. Noura spent two years at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, first in Brussels at Sweden’s Permanent Representation to the EU and later as a Programme Officer at the Swedish Dialogue Institute for the Middle East and North Africa.

She serves on the boards of Global Shapers Community, Civil Rights Defenders, the Swedish Inheritance Fund, the Swedish-Norwegian fund, Höj Rösten School of Politics, and the advisory committee of the Swedish Dialogue Institute for the Middle East and North Africa.

Noura has provided expertise and advice to a variety of organisations and institutions, among them several UN institutions and agencies. In 2018, she was appointed to the Swedish Government’s Advisory Council for Environmentally Sustainable Consumption. In 2016, she was the official Swedish Youth Delegate to the United Nations, joining the Swedish Government delegation to the UN General Assembly and other high-level meetings.

Noura is a Global Shaper from the Stockholm Hub. Noura served as Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos in 2019.
