Nina Jensen is a marine biologist and passionate ocean advocate dedicated to protecting and restoring the world's ocean. With over 20 years of experience in conservation, she has built a proven track record of turning science and passion into real-world impact for the sea.
Now focused on advancing marine protected areas with The Ocean Stewardship initiative, Nina previously served as CEO at REV Ocean for almost 10 years and as Secretary-General of WWF-Norway for 6 years.
She is a member of Friends of Ocean Action and has advised the High Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy.
Nina holds a Master's degree in Marine Biology from the University of Tromsø and was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014. In 2025 she received the Prince Albert I Grand Medal for the Ocean — one of the most prestigious honours in ocean conservation.
