Author and editor of numerous books and articles including history anthropology of South Asia, social and cultural theory, history of empire, historiography, cultural studies, globalization, and the university. Senior Advisor, Weill Family Foundation, Fellow of American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Recipient of numerous fellowships and scholarships.
