Mounia Khelifi Touhami

Mounia Khelifi-Touhami is the Head of Middle East for Macquarie Infrastructure & Real Assets (‘MIRA’). She is responsible for managing relationships with Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds and key Financial Institutions in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Mounia has single-handedly built MIRA’s business in the region, having raised over AU$3 billion of equity capital from Middle Eastern institutions for investments in infrastructure and real assets across North America, Europe and Asia.

Mounia is highly regarded in the Middle East for her deep understanding of the region and for her intellectual rigor when working on capital market and financial issues. She has expanded the local investor network from the UAE to include the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Qatar. Mounia has developed high quality, long lasting relationships with key stakeholders within government institutions in the Middle East.

Prior to joining Macquarie, Mounia was part of BNP Paribas in Paris and Hong Kong, where she covered Financial Institutions and Sovereign Wealth Funds in South East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei). She began her career in BNP Paribas Paris in Equity and Commodity Derivatives Sales.

Mounia holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati and a Masters of Finance from Audencia Nantes, France. She attended Executive Courses in Stanford Business School and Harvard Business School in 2015 and 2016.
