Misato NAGAKAWA was born and raised in Tokyo, her mission is to create the society where the next generation of East Asia will not say "We are geographically close, but psychologically far." With a background of living in several countries including the States, Republic of Korea, and China where she obtained a double master's degree at Peking University with the ones from University of Tokyo, she has been working on multiple projects and initiatives to promote mutual understanding among the people in East Asian countries. Her expats are peacebuilding in East Asia, program designing, storytelling, facilitation, moderation, education and youth empowerment. Besides her full time work as senior associate to plan and execute special programs offered at English MBA program at GLOBIS University, she is currently the adjunct lecturer at Musashi University teaching Global Leadership (2022-), Peace Studies (2024)Introductory Seminar for Studying Abroad (2022-2023). She also serves as Deputy Director for non-profit organization Wake Up Japan (WUJ) since 2018. At WUJ, she runs an education program called "Peace Ambassador Project in East Asia" which is partially funded by Lee Heul Keon Korea-Japan Exchange Foundation. She is the member and community champion of Global Shapers Community, and also chosen as Davos 50 in 2023. In 2023, she was selected as the core members of the Trilateral Youth Exchange Network (TYEN) by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat to accelerate the cooperation among the youths in Japan, China, and Republic of Korea.
