Miranda Priebe is an associate political scientist in the Washington, D.C. office of the RAND Corporation. Her work at RAND has focused on the future of the international order, effects of U.S. forward presence, and history of U.S. military policy. She has also conducted research on deterrence, reassurance, threat perceptions, rising powers, alliance politics, U.S. defense budgets, and U.S. grand strategy. She previously worked at RAND as a research assistant. Priebe received a Ph.D. in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in February 2015. She also received a Master of Public Affairs degree from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School and SB degrees in Physics and Political Science from MIT.
