Mr. Michael Chan has over 23 years of extensive multi-industry (incl. retail and distribution; fast-moving consumer goods; funds and asset management; banking and finance) experience and specialises in accounting and finance, corporate finance, corporate strategy and planning; transformation and change management; sales operation management; customer journey design and insights analysis; business development; governmental relations and corporate communications.

Mr. Chan currently serves MTR by wearing three different hats: Managing Director of MTR Lab Company Limited, where they support the longterm growth of communities with technological investments and innovative solutions; General Manager of Corporate Strategy; and transformation leader. He was the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director at Inchcape Greater China (a subsidiary of Inchcape Plc. (Stock Code: INCH) listed on the London Stock Exchange), a sole and exclusive distributor of Toyota, Lexus, Hino and Jaguar Land Rover in Hong Kong and Macau.

Mr. Chan also serves as an Independent Non-executive Director, Chairman of Remuneration Committee, a member of Audit Committee and Nomination Committee of Integrated Waste Solutions Holdings Limited (Stock Code: 923), a company listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited as an effort in building a more sustainable city through recycling..

Mr. Chan is a Chartered Financial Analyst and was admitted as a fellow member of both the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. In addition, he is also qualified as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and Financial Risk Manager.

Mr. Chan obtained his Executive Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; and graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Commerce.
