Marcos Rosa is the Technical Coordinator of MapBiomas, a collaborative network of more than 70 organizations in Brazil and 14 other countries that monitors land use to promote conservation and sustainable management of natural resources. He is a geographer by background and has more than 20 years of experience in mapping natural resources, including as director of ArcPlan, a Brazilian company specialising in geoprocessing, digital cartography and remote sensing. He also has technical responsibility for executing the Atlas of Forest Remnants of the Atlantic Forest.
