He has about 10 years of experience in the development of sustainable projects in Central America, collaborating with important organizations on the subject such as the Business Association for Sustainable Development (AED), World Business Council for Sustainable Development, INCAE, Governments and institutions of the public sector, the National Commission of the Ecological Blue Flag Program, among others.

For his leadership and accomplishments, Manfred has been selected as a "Global Shaper" by the World Economic Forum, selected as an Ashoka Fellow, and awarded with the recognition "40 under 40" by the Costa Rican newspaper "El Financiero." He also received training as a "Climate Leader" by former US Vice-President Al Gore.

In addition, he has been a speaker at international events such as the "Conference of the Parties United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change "in its 20th edition in Lima, Peru and 21st edition in Paris, France. He holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from INCAE Business School and is an Agricultural Engineer with a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Sciences from EARTH University.
