Mr. Ma Guoqiang was born in November 1963 in Dingzhou, Hebei Province. He graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and got the Master’s degree in University of Science and Technology Beijing. He achieved his EMBA degree in Arizona State University and Shanghai National Accounting Institute in 2005. He is a senior accountant. He began his career in September 1986 and joined Baosteel in 1995, where he served successively as Deputy Director of Planning and Finance Department, Director of Planning and Finance Department, Vice President and Chief Accountant of Baosteel Group. He also held the post of Board Director of Guangdong Steel Group Corporation since June 2008 and served as Board Director and President of Baosteel Co., Ltd. since April 2009. In July 2013, Mr. Ma was appointed to President of Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation, and to Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of the company in June 2015. He is now Chairman and Party Secretary of China Baowu Steel Group Corporation Limited.
