Food and travel writer specializing in traditional, healthy and organic “eat and live” food. 2004, founder, Souk el Tayeb, for local, natural, traditional and organic food products, from producer to consumer; 2009, founder Tawlet, the producers' co-op kitchen, where a different producer/cook, from a different region, prepares typical food specialties. Former Member of the Board, Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity. Recipient of awards, including: New Hero, MONOCLE magazine (2008); Arab World Social Innovator, Synergos (2009).
