Jocelyne Landry Tsonang

Executive Member, African Circular Economy Network (ACEN)

Jocelyne Landry Tsonang is an environmental and natural resource management expert, who works at the intersection of circular economy, climate, biodiversity, sustainable finance, and gender. She is the one of the non-executive directors for the African Circular Economy Network, a pioneering network of circular economy practitioners headquartered in South Africa with representatives in over 42 Countries. She is the Honorary Director General for Africa at the Global Council for Circular Economy and the Future of Business. She is a member of the global future council for the sustainable use of resource for the World Economic Forum. She has supported few countries in Africa in developing circular economy policies including Cote d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Ghana, and Tunisia. She currently collaborates with Green Bond Corporation to support African governments in structuring their carbon markets and leveraging sustainable/climate finance instruments to fund their sustainable development goals including energy and ecological transition. She holds a master’s degree in forestry science from the University of Yaoundé I in Cameroon and a Young African Leaders Fellow, a program for mid-career policy professionals from the School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute. Jocelyne is a fellow of the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative, a one-year training program for a Mini MBA on leadership and sustainable business management. Jocelyne is a freelance consultant in the field of environmental management and natural resource management, biodiversity, and climate finance with over eight (09) years of experience. She is the Founder of Maluwa Africa, an organization of young female leaders headquartered in Nigeria with members in 20 African Countries. She is the founder of Women Coalition for Circular Economy, an organization that support, empower and promote women in circular field, while advocation for a gender inclusive transition to circular economy. She is the co-founder of an eco-friendly housing company called D&D Smart Construction. I am interested in sustainable natural resource management, just transition to circular economy, sustainable finance for emerging markets and energy and ecological transition for African countries.
