2000, degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, St. John's University, USA; 2004, MSc in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, George Mason University, Virginia. Formerly, worked in Rwandan refugee camps, first as a Registration Clerk and later as an Assistant Camp Manager for the second biggest camp in Kigoma with 120,000 refugees, known to its residents as Mtabila II. Witnessing the extraordinary daily suffering of human beings in the camps left an indelible mark. 2000, Research Assistant, Carter Center. 2002, in Sierra Leone with the election monitoring team. 2004, Foreign Service Officer, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 2005-10, Aide to Tanzanian President Hon. Jakaya Kikwete. Since 2010, Member of Parliament for Bumbuli constituency. Has acted as a personal envoy of the President to various sections of the society, particularly urban youth. Involved with CCM as a "young pioneer" in primary school; since 1989, Member, CCM Youth Wing; since 2010, Member, National CCM Youth League Governing Council. Director, Tea Board of Tanzania. Author. Recipient, Upper Midwest International Human Rights Fellowship, University of Minnesota Human Rights Center.
