Jacqueline del Castillo

Innovation Fellow, Imperial College London

Jacqueline is currently an Innovation Fellow with Lord Ara Darzi at the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London, focusing on health social movement and social innovation research. In 2019, Jacqueline served as a Senior Fellow at the Blue Shield of California Foundation where she advised the Foundation strategy to end domestic violence through social movement investment. Previously, Jacqueline worked at Nesta, the UK's leading innovation foundation, where she devised and developed a social movement incubation programme focused on health inequalities and also contributed to NHS England's Health as a Social Movement initiative. Jacqueline has over 15 years of experience in the innovation field, latterly with a focus on health, having worked at the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation on transformation of healthcare delivery and experience, Design Revolution on frugal innovation technologies for low-resource settings and Santa Clara County in California on a health system transformation. Jacqueline received her MS and BS in Engineering from Stanford University where she trained in design thinking at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design. Since 2006, she has taught design thinking in the US and globally with change leaders in both industry and philanthropy.
