Formerly: Assistant Professor, University of Michigan: Associate Professor, Harvard University: Consultant to World Bank and private corporations; Since 2003, current position, teaching International Management and Political Economy. Current research includes: engineering education in India and China; comparing corruption in China and India; heterogeneous growth patterns within China; ethnic FDI; entrepreneurship in China. Fellow: Center for Chinese Economic Research; Center for China in the World Economy, Tsinghua University. Author of books: Inflation and Investment Controls in China (1996); FDI in China (1998); Selling China (2003, 2005).
