Heike Niebergall-Lackner is the Chief Ethics, Risk and Compliance Officer at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) overseeing the five functions of the Ethics, Risk and Compliance Office (“ERCO”) – risk management, internal control, ethics and investigations and compliance reporting.
Heike previously worked at an international arbitral tribunal and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) advising on the development and implementation of large-scale property restitution and victims’ reparation programs. Trained as a lawyer and mediator in Germany, Heike holds an LL.M. in international and comparative law from the George Washington University Law School and a doctorate degree from the University of Frankfurt, in Germany.
