Harsh joined Philips as Head of Philips Lighting
solutions South Asia, effective 1st January, 2015.
He is responsible for driving and building the
Lighting Solutions business for Philips in Indian
Subcontinent.
Harsh joined Philips from HCL Infosystems (A
US$ 1.3 B company listed on Indian stock
markets), whereas the MD & CEO he led a set of
multiple businesses including IT Products,
systems & services and distribution of IT/telecom
and Consumer Electronics products. He was also
a member of the team that founded HCL's new
venture in Healthcare delivery called HCL
Healthcare Ltd and is a Director on the Board of
that company.
Harsh started his career with Tata Administrative
Services and spent significant time with Tata
Honeywell. He was the MD and CEO of
Honeywell Automation India Ltd (erstwhile Tata
Honeywell Ltd.) before moving to Honeywell
International in the USA. At Honeywell
International, Harsh lead on a worldwide basis,
Strategy, Marketing, Product Management &
Business Development for Honeywell process
Solutions (A US$ 3 B business), before becoming
the leader of Honeywell's Process Solutions
business for North America and LATAM. Harsh
left Honeywell in 2010 and moved back to India
as the CEO of HCL Infosystems.
Harsh is a B. Tech graduate from IIT-Delhi &
had been awarded the Director’s Gold Medal in
July 1993 & is
an avid angel investor in technology start ups in
India.
