Gisela Solymos is a social entrepreneur dedicated to fight poverty in its all forms and shapes, with an extensive experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating social interventions, particularly in the context of extreme poverty. She is co-founder and former CEO of CREN (Center for Nutritional Recovery and Education), a non-profit organisation based in São Paulo, BR, that treats malnourished children in day hospitals, outpatient clinics and in poor communities, conducts researches and influences public policies. She is an awarded Social Entrepreneur by Ashoka, E&Y and Schwab Foundation and cofounder of several organisations and initiatives, the latest including Catalyst 2030 Global and Catalyst 2030 Brazil, where she is currently chair.
She also acts as a professional mentor, and provides consultancy for the design and implementation of projects, programs and social organizations.
Gisela is Psychologist with Masters in Psychology and Human Development, and PhD in Social Psychiatry.
