Francisco Ruiz-Tagle began his career at CMPC in 1991, where he has served in leadership positions as General Manager of Celulosa del Pacífico, Head of Financial Operations of CMPC, and General Manager of Papelera del Plata in Argentina. From 2011 to 2016, he served as General Manager of CMPC Forestry, after which he took over as CEO of the merger between CMPC’s Pulp and Forest Divisions.
Since August 2018, he was appointed CEO of Empresas CMPC.
Mr. Ruiz-Tagle earned his Economics degree at the University of Chile and holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. He currently sits on the board of the Group of Business Leaders against Climate Change (CLG Chile) and formerly served as Co-Chair of Forest Solutions Group (WBCSD). He is married and has five children, and in his free time enjoys hiking in the Andes.
