Erlingur Erlingsson is a Public Policy Manager on Facebook's International Institutions team. He works to develop and maintain FB relationships with key international organizations, such as the OECD, World Bank/IMF, WEF and the many different parts of the United Nations. Prior to joining Facebook, Erlingur was the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Iceland in Washington DC. He spent 15 years in the Icelandic Foreign Service, with stints working for UNICEF in Tajikistan, and NATO and the UN in Afghanistan. Erlingur holds an MBA from Reykjavik University and is ABD in his PhD studies in military history at Oxford University.
