BA and MA, Tulane University and Newcomb College, US; PhD, University of Wisconsin. Since 1991, current position; strengthened academic programmes, infrastructure and ties with entertainment industry and media arts community; added two new divisions in animation and digital arts and interactive media; built Robert Zemeckis Center for Digital Arts; installed 25 endowed chairs and formed partnerships with entertainment and technology companies; 2006, presided over creation of USC School of Cinematic Arts and broke ground for new 137,000 square-foot building complex.
