President & CEO of HUMANO, the largest health and life insurance group in the Caribbean and Central America with its main operation in Dominican Republic and expansions in Panama and El Salvador with over 1.5 million members, 1,400 direct employees and over US$500 million in annual revenues.

Mr. Cruz holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering, a Masters of Science in Management (MBA) in 1995 from Georgia Tech, and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy Graduate School of Government in 2014 where he also was an Edward S. Mason Fellow.

Selected as YGL by the WEF in 2011 and was a member of the Global Health Council. Past Chairman of the Dominican Association of Health Insurers (ADARS), Chairman of the Latin American Association of Private Health Plans (ALAMI). An active member of YPO since 2007 and served as Chair for the Dominican Republic’s YPO Chapter; board member of AMCHAM-DR, and a member of the Management Council of the International Federation of Health Plans (iFHP) since 2016.
