Derrick Johnson

Vice-President, Customer Segment Marketing, UPS

Derrick Johnson has spent the last 20 years working in strategy, operations, marketing and sales. He’s currently Vice President of Customer Segment Marketing at UPS where he’s responsible for identifying and developing strategies that adapt the organization to the latest market dynamics impacting the automotive, retail, professional services, health care and high-tech industries.

Derrick is responsible for driving profitable growth and expansion strategies for UPS by leveraging his knowledge of emerging business models and shifting trade relationships and a unique perspective on the disruptive technologies at the intersection of financial services, retail and transportation.

Prior to UPS, Derrick’s career was focused on customer engagement and solutions. He integrated sales and marketing at C&S Sovran and NCNB before the merger to form NationsBank (now Bank of America).

Derrick earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
