Deborah Sass is the Founding Partner & Co-CEO of Space Hero.

Deborah engaged formally with the Space Industry in 2016 as a Founding Partner and Co-CEO of Space Hero, the first world-wide movement aiming to democratize Space through a biennial global competition which gives away a $55m ticket for a 10 day stay on the ISS, creating the first opportunity for a non-astronaut, non-billionaire to go into Space - and the whole world will be watching.

Deborah has established close relations across the Space industry, specifically the National Space Agencies around the world, with over 42 Space Agencies & Institutions from over 40 countries having already signed formal letters of support with Space Hero. A growing community of over 800 individual supporters from more than 82 countries are also volunteering for Space Hero.

Deborah is a seasoned entertainment industry executive with over 25 years of experience working in both the traditional and digital landscapes. Starting out in a media business development role in traditional radio in Australia, she became an early mover in the digital entertainment industry in the early 00’s. Working in go-to-market & business development strategies, she supported the launch of global successes like Shazam and Spotify.

Operating at the forefront of the digitization of content she helped shape how we consume digital media today. Throughout the years, she has worked with some of the world's media and technology’s giants, structuring many international strategic partnerships with global brands such as Amazon and iTunes.

As a female entrepreneur of colour, diversity and inclusion have always been the core values in Deborah’s life. She has supported entrepreneurial women across all races, nationalities, ages, backgrounds, and identities. She is an angel investor & advises many start-ups in both the Space and media and entertainment sectors.
