Deborah Donovan is Senior Vice President and Head Environment, Health & Safety at Takeda, where she oversees the strategy for environmental sustainability among other EHS topics. Mrs. Donovan has 16 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry holding positions in executive management at Novartis and site leadership at Amgen. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, she spent 15 years in specialty chemical, petrochemicals and oil refining with roles of increasing responsibility in operation and EHS, heading EHS for Sunoco, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and a Master of Business Administration from the California State University at Long Beach, CA. Mrs. Donovan was honored with an EHS Leadership award from the National Association of EHS Managers (NAEM) in 2019. Mrs. Donovan enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, hiking, biking and traveling.
