I lead the company’s platform development, business development and corporate strategy areas. Early on at Proteus, I led the team that developed the technology, business and partnering plans for what ultimately became our digital medicines platform. Later on, I led the design, development and launch of our first product offerings, including an early beta product called Helius and subsequently the full Discover offering. In addition, I also led the teams that established our strategic partnerships with companies such as Otsuka and Novartis. Prior to joining Proteus, I spent over 15 years starting and building life sciences companies. I was President of Catalyst Biosciences (a company developing novel therapeutic protein products), Chief Business Officer and member of the founding management team at Iconix Biosciences (a genomic biomarker company) and head of business development for ARIAD Pharmaceuticals (an oncology-focused drug discovery company), where I also founded and managed a gene therapy-focused subsidiary. I began my career as a management consultant to health care and biotechnology companies at L.E.K. Consulting. I graduated from Wesleyan University, and then Harvard Business School. My wife Gwen and I have three children.
