David is an Emeritus Professor at Mayo School of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota where he focused on the application of systems engineering and digital health solutions to achieve health care redesign. David is a Fellow of the American Heart Association and has an appointment as Consultant at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. In 2016, WEF: New Champions, Dalian, David presented in the New England Journal of Medicine forum.
