David Brady

Professor, Aqueti, Inc.

Graduate, Macalester College; PhD in Applied Physics, California Institute of Technology. Formerly developed numerous computational imaging systems for visible, infrared, x-ray and millimetre wave applications. 2012, helmed the team that developed the world’s first terrestrial gigapixel camera, a project that eventually inspired the launch of Aqueti. Currently drives the mission of Aqueti to build the finest high-resolution array cameras on the market. As Fitzpatrick Family Professor of Photonics at Duke University, leads both the Duke Imaging and Spectroscopy Program and the Camputer Lab at Duke Kunshan University in China. Co-author of over 300 articles and patents. Author of the book, Optical Imaging and Spectroscopy. Recipient of numerous honours, including the 2013 SPIE Denis Gabor Award for achievements in compressive holography. Interests: sailing and running marathons throughout the country.
