Daphne currently serves as Head Government and Public Affairs Europe and is responsible for managing the European Affairs Office in Brussels and coordinating the advocacy strategies and activities in the European zones. Daphne joined Philips in March 2018, as Global Public Policy Director and led global advocacy efforts in areas such as value based care, healthcare transformation and COVID-19 response. Daphne leads Philips’ global advocacy and engagement programs for geopolitics, trade policy, and supply chain resilience. Prior to joining Philips, she fulfilled senior roles for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports- and has also fulfilled postings at the Netherlands Embassies in Moscow, Bangkok and Hanoi. A specialist in public private cooperation, Daphne has strong expertise in market access, sustainable value chain development and trade issues. Daphne holds a master degree in both Public Law (University of Leiden) and Political Science
