Cristina Camacho

Chair, Global Forum on Cyber Expertise Foundation (GFCE)

Cristina Camacho-Terán is the Chair of the Board of the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise Foundation, a global platform dedicated to fostering international cooperation on cybersecurity issues.

She currently serves as Minister in Ecuador’s Foreign Service and as the acting Undersecretary for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility. With over 20 years of experience in government affairs and public policy, Mrs. Camacho-Terán has represented Ecuador in various international contexts. Most recently, she was Head of Cooperation at the Ecuadorian Mission to the European Union, where she led initiatives focused on security and digital diplomacy.

Previously, she held the position of Chief of Staff to the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, and has also worked on cooperation and security matters at the Ecuadorian Embassies in Washington, D.C., and Lima, Peru. Additionally, she serves as the national focal point for Ecuador’s cooperation with the Council of Europe on cybercrime issues.

Minister Camacho holds a Master’s degree in International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and was a 2022-2023 EU Cyber Diplomacy Fellow.
