Research focuses on the evolutionary relationships between organisms, and integrates field, laboratory, and computational work to study how diversity arises though the evolution of genomes, form and function. Co-Author of Practical Computing for Biologists. Leads multiple projects to improve science communication, including creaturecast.org.
