Recipient of numerous awards and honours including 1994, the US Intelligence Community Seal Medallion and 1998, Santiago Grisolia Prize and Chair, Violence Studies, Queen Sofia Center for the Study of Violence, Spain. Since 1996, Editor-in-Chief, Studies in Conflict and Terrorism. Author, The Logic of Suicide Terrorism (2003) and numerous other publications. Member, Council on Foreign Relations.
