As CEO of 50Hertz, Schucht is engaging for the expansion of the transmission network, the development of the European electricity market and for maintaining a high level of security of supply. Previously, he was member of the Management Board of WEMAG. Prior to this, Schucht was authorized officer of Vattenfall Europe in different positions. He is a member of the Assembly of the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E).
