Antonio Diaz

Antonio Diaz Aranda is a dedicated young advocate for climate action and transformative change. He was selected as a Youth Ambassador for Climate in Mexico through the Operation COP program, where he served as the lead negotiator for Mexico at COP27, SB58, COP28 & SB60.

Antonio was appointed by the Youth UNESCO Climate Action Network (YoU-CAN) Steering Committee as Partnership coordinator. He has also been actively engaged with other international and recognized youth organizations, including SDSN Youth, as the Global Events & Partnerships Lead, Global Shapers Aguascalientes HUB, as Impact Officer, and the Climate Reality Project. Antonio currently serves as an influencer of UNESCO Green Citizens initiative.

He has represented youth voices in various international spaces, including the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum and the 2023 ECOSOC Youth Forum. Antonio is also an active advocate for greening education and was previously invited as a moderator during the Greening Education Partnership (GEP) Annual Meeting High-level session on Greening Education and as a reviewer of the report "Learning at risk: the impact of climate displacement on the right to education; global report" developed by UNESCO. He also contributed to the development of Greening curriculum guidance: teaching and learning for climate action.
