Career has been forged at the intersection of business innovation and market disruption. 2002-09, global functional roles at IBM, ranging from Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, Global Hardware Business to managing IBM's transition from a hardware brand to a business technology brand; also served on IBM's Strategy Team. With Cisco: former Deputy Chief Globalization Officer; 2009-16, led Cisco’s globalization headquarters in Bangalore, India and Chairman, Cisco India Advisory Board; Currently, Global President, Smart+Connected Communities, Cisco; has been a key leader of Cisco’s internet of things (IoT) business through its incubation and growth within the company; leads a multi-functional and cross-company team to drive the vision, strategy, Cisco Kinetic for Cities solutions portfolio and sales for digitization of public sector services within cities (e.g., lighting, traffic, water, waste, transportation, safety and security). Former Sony Business Fellow, Sony Corporation. Member, past or present, of various boards and centres. Recipient: American Marketing Association’s Alpha Kappa Psi award.
